Announcing the New Members of the Barista Guild Leadership Council
The election of the new 2023-2025 BG Leadership Council is complete and we’re thrilled to welcome three new members!

Barista Guild members had the opportunity to vote for the three open seats out of seven candidates on the slate. The voting period was open from November 29 to December 13. During this time members received an email with a unique link to vote. We had some good engagement and a vote that moved the above three people forward for the 2023-2025 term.
Special thanks to all seven of our incredible candidates, as well as all nominees who put their name forward in this election. Thank you to Barista Guild members for their commitment to the guild and for voting in this election. We urge the community to please continue to support the new members in their upcoming two-year term.

Meet the New LC Members:
Lukasz Galecki
Coffee professional with 5 years experience. SCA Brewing and Sensory Skills Professional certified. Currently working as a community manager for Comandante, editor for European Coffee Trip and Polish Barista Ambassador of Alpro.
Luisa Fernanda Santos Rivera
Barista Coffe Lover, with my Business named Coffeina Café, I teach every body in my country about to drink good Coffee, the way to do it and all the culture about the coffee's world.
Zoey Thornton
Zoey is a 20+ year specialty coffee professional with experience in every aspect of the supply stream. She has worked from farm level to shop level, with most of her years in coffee spent training and working behind the coffee bar. Where her coffee passions lie are in supporting coffee community and eduction wherever she can. In addition to currently holding a place on the Barista Guild Leadership Council, Zoey is an Assistant CQI Instructor, Arabica Q-Grader, a SCA Authorized Trainer in the Brewing and Barista Skills. Outside of world coffee, you can find Zoey skateboarding around her hometown, Rockaway Beach, where she roasts coffee (@riptide.roasting), farms, slings beers and chases waves!
